Providing Businesses & Organizations with AWESOME
Web Design & Marketing for 13+ Years.
Hi there! I'm Taylor Basagic. I opened up my business, Sweet & Spiky Marketing by Taylor back in 2016. However, I've been in the creative business and marketing for over 13 years. I take pride in being the go-to person for all of my clients and their web design/marketing needs. The world is filled with many web designers and marketing companies, but when you work with me...you work with ONLY ME. You won't be placed on HOLD to be connected with a random representative. This is an opportunity and something I do not take lightly. I love being the face of my business and connecting with my clients on a more personal level. I truly care about their business brand, professional image, and overall -- celebrating in their successes. I love meeting new people that are excited to help their business thrive. I can't wait to work with YOU!
TAYLOR'S BACKGROUND
In case you wanted to know more :)

I was born and raised in Pendleton County, WV. I grew up working at our family business as a tour guide and stable hand for Yokum's Stables.
I attended college at both West Virginia University and Shepherd University. I graduated from Shepherd with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication & New Media with an emphasis in Media Studies and a minor in Art in 2015. In my college days, I also interned as a news reporter/anchor at a news station in Maryland. While I was told I had promise, I was encouraged by an individual take classes to drop my country accent. No thanks -- I am who I am. Even though I'm not on TV, I continued expanding my experience and knowledge, which I feel has made me well-rounded and equipped to thrive in the business I'm in.
Upon graduating, I moved around a good bit, including living on the island Oahu (HI) for a short period. I spent a lot of time with my photography side in this beautiful location. I then lived in Stafford, Virginia, where I worked for a marketing firm. I continued my photography journey at the same time, which landed me some great gigs in the area including weddings, USMC birthday ball portrait photography, business photography, and etc. It was here that I decided to become professionally certified in web design and social media marketing.
When I returned to roots in West Virginia, I continued this side business of web design and marketing, but with life changes, wanted to add to my plate. I earned my certification to teach English Language Arts (Grades 9-12) in West Virginia. I began working as a high school English teacher. I did this for almost five years.
I married my husband (Neil) who is a funeral director, and we welcomed our sweet baby girl, Sawyer, into our peaceful little world. After the birth of our adorable son, Rhett, I decided not to return to teaching at the end of my maternity leave (as he faced a birth injury that pulled me in all directions for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and neurosurgery).
I was very fortunate to be welcomed into a new marketing position with two wonderful companies: Grant County Mulch and A.L.L. Construction. To say I love my job is a giant understatement. It is everything I could have dreamed of and more. It means so much to me to work with a company that values family and their employees. I truly enjoy balancing the work of both companies, while having more flexibility to be present with my children.
When I'm not working or doing this "side hustle" business, you can find me spending time with my family, sipping coffee with a good book, taking pictures, sitting around the campfire, and just enjoying this beautiful life.
I look forward to meeting you. - Taylor
